Hello all, I am newly across from Cliosport.net having owned a PH1 Clio 172 trackcar for the last 18 months or so. I was wanting to keep it for another year or so, but the car hit a barrier at Hall Bends, Cadwell Park, in a classic lift off oversteer moment! The Clio has now gone to be a MK1 Clio donor car! I collected my 2007 Megane R26 last weekend, and through the week I have fitted an ITG filter, NGK plugs (had Bosch super+ in when I bought it), fitted CL RC6 front pads, EBC yellowstuff rear pads, along with RBF600 fluid and a new pin kit. I am getting a set of Federal RSR 595 track spec tyres next week, and I will also get the injectors cleaned whilst that is going on. The only future mods I am considering is a bigger intercooler and some Cooksport springs, as the suspension is currently standard. The car has a stage 1 map and a full Miltek system with decat, I have a printout from last year where the car was running 261bhp at RS tuning. I am intending to get a few trackdays with the Meg, and as a general question, do the Brembos hold up well to track use without any extra venting etc? I am booked up for my next trackday on the 28th Feb at the Renault and Ford day at Bedford. I managed 7 trackdays with the Clio last year, including a long weekend at the Nurburgring, but I will have to monitor funds for the time being!!
I can't help with the track mods but welcome to RSM Dave. I'm sure you'll recognise many from the other place here. Car sounds great BTW, get some pics up, and the 172.
