R26 Alternatives to Cooksports?

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Powello9, Aug 5, 2015.

  1. Hi Guys,

I've totally fallen out of love with my Cooksports. Car is bottoming out and brand new rear dampers have died. Emailed Cooksport. No reply.

So what are my alternatives to replace them with? I like the drop, just not the bottoming out. I drive fast B-roads.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. H&R

  3. Which spec one? Is there a product number you recommend?

  4. I have h&r's decent enough, but I'd like coil overs tbh, to much body roll for my liking, the h&r's are great for every day use, but I'm used to firmer suspension when pushing on

  5. Body roll should be adjusted by anty roll bar and spring rate not by stiffer shocks. Shock are there only for fast ocuring changes ie potholes, any unevennes inroad surface etc

Standard - why bother with any else really?

Haomaru - where did you find those? According to h&r they haven't made them for the Meg 225

  8. Hey guys,

  11. Because as good as they are out the box it's always a case of it being a happy medium

I found the r26 too soft on track and had far too much body roll

  12. Cooksport have helped me get to the bottom of this. Turns out my garage forgot to put the bump stops in... Back in love lol

  13. The guys at cooksport are helpful, glad you got to the bottom of your issue
