250 19" Steevs

  1. Hope this doesn't seem like a silly question but what products do people use to clean the diamond cut 19" Steev alloys on a 250? I don't want to ruin the finish on them by using too harsh a chemical on them. Any recommendations?

    Cheers

  2. I always use muc off wheel cleaner and have done for years as I was recommended it by a wheel refurber as it doesn't contain acid. If they're really bad after winter or a track day I occassionally use auto glym wheel cleaner cos it's heavy hitting but does contain laquer damaging acid.

  3. You can buy any acid free wheel cleaner, won't damage or Mark the wheels at all. Most brands do an acid free variant. Personally I use autobrite very cherry acid free. Best wheel cleaner I've used by far.

  4. Cool thanks for the replies. I'll look out for acid free

  5. Another vote for Autobrite very cherry here.

  6. For a normal clean i use ASDA stardrops apc. Every couple of weeks i use Bilt-hamber auto-wheel to shift any brake dust.

  7. I rather like Sonus Rim Bright as it's PH Neutral and always works pretty well.

Generally though, I tend to go for snow foam/pressure wash and then normal shampoo and wash mitt.

  8. My 265 come with them but i have had to buy a spare from a renualt dealer, they aint cheap £23 each as i recall.

  9. £23 each?! D:

  10. Tell me about it!
