Shocks change?? Alright guys, Been having an issue with what seems to be the rear shocks, when going over bumps in the road it sounds like they are making what I can only describe as a "slushing type noise" so will probably look at replacing them soon, any suggestions on what to go for? Or would standard be sufficient?. Currently on standard springs as well which will also change as I could probably fit my head in the arches so need to drop it a fair amount to sit nicely. Seen on here cook sport seems the natural choice so may take a look at them. Noticed a fair amount of bodyroll as well so that will need addressing, hopefully the strings will help with that though. Cheers Paul.
id go with R26 shocks & perhaps H&R springs im currently changing over to R26 shocks on my Phase One and sitting on Eibach Pro springs
Cooksports are quite low I've read (60mm drop), no good if your town has loads of speed humps. Are the H&R springs less of a drop? Why du recommend these?
think H&R according to other people that have them are the closest comparison to cooksports you might be better off with eibach pro springs if you can find them
Cheers mate. In regards to the r26 shocks, I'm guessing they should be a direct replacement? Won't need owt else for them?
Cooksports aren't any where near 60mm I'd say about 45mm. Leave the car looking how it should of out the factory. The ride is also pretty much the same. Not softer not harsher.
Cheers guys. Did look at cooksports but by the look of it they only go to 30mm. As you can see from the picture above it may need to go down further than 30mm. May look at the H&R ones and see what they can do.
fitted H & R s want me to take a pic, on standard shocks though wouldn't want any lower kerbs are close now !!!!
sorry not been on here all week, will do tomorrow what you want to see ; approx. 20-30mm gap under wheel arch and splitter at front is sooooooo close to kerb it makes you cringe would hate to be lower. will post pics cheers
No worries bud. Aye looking at around 30mm drop I think as the gap is quite large atm. Hopefully seeing yours will shine some much needed light on it
