I love having sun strips on my cars just because i think it makes the car feel a little more racey and i don't get blinded all the time, i was just wondering does it affect the rain sensor when you put one on? as i also like my auto wipers haha
They kind of still work. It affects your light sensor more, so if you have auto lights, then your lights will be permanently on.
oh that's annoying, and if i cut a hole in it it'd just look stupid from the outside wouldn't it haha looks like i'm gonna have to give it a miss!
You should be able to turn the auto lights off. I had one on my 182 and on that you have to turn the ignition on, turn lights on and off twice then the auto lights won't be on. I kept the lights on on my clio, then the alternator went lol!
i can turn them off i just quite like them haha i love the way the lights just automatically turn on when you get in the car, it's great everything is just ready as soon as you press the button
Thats mine, it does its job. I think maybe a bigger one will do a lot more but having a working sensor was a must for me.
Thing is about having a smaller sun strip, is it kinda doesn't stop the sun beaming through. May as well just use the sun visors
Mine is like 6 inches further down than the mirror. It's a strip of Window tint on the inside. Best picture I have at the mo.
Can't get the pic to show for some reason but this is mine with a 9" sunstrip and just cut a small hole for the sensor that you don't even notice :cool:
I'm making my own. I've got a strip of black window tint to go on the inside of the screen which I'm overlaying with a white Renaultsport vinyl on the outside.
