Anyone bought these black diamonds??

Discussion in 'Exterior & Bodywork' started by Michael, Jul 29, 2015.

  1. I'm wanting to change my RS250 diamonds to black. Stumbled across these which aparently clip over the existing diamonds, so no need to remove the originals from the car.

    Anyone tried them?

  2. Are these on eBay? Think these are the same ones I ordered. Paid same price for them anyway. They work well, they go on top of the originals and inside have sticky pads to hold them onto the original badge. Simple design:smile:

  3. I have them fitted to mine. They are great but have started to pit and become discoloured a little now

  4. ive used them on my 225 they are ok but after a while say about a year they tend to fade a bit could just paint back over them?

  5. Black on Black ok Canky ? I'm tempted....

  6. Yeah on ebay. Think I'll order them. If they start to fade I can always just paint them.

    Cheers

  7. I've got them on my 225 and can't fault them

  8. I had them on my old inferno cup and they were good for the money. Just bought them again for my black 225 going for different look on my car with getting my wheels refurbed so think they will tie in well

Heres some pics of what ive just received

  11. I wanted to do this, i did it on my black Golf but i just don't think it will work with my colour car.

  12. I disagree. I think it would look decent with your wheels, mirrors and grille being black.

I'll be removing the M E G A N E from the back when I put the black diamonds on.

  13. I just wrapped mine, heard a lot about these fading

  14. I just plasti dipped mine too

  15. Paint them before fitting. Thats what i did with the one i used on me old clio, as i heard they fade and can go funny when certain cleaning fluid is used at car washes etc

  16. Quick flash with some lacquer will keep them nice and shiny.

  17. I just took mine off primed them and sprayed them
2 and half years later they look the same

  18. Got mine dipped (covers) over a year ago and still look like new.

  19. After seeing this thread I bought some. Ordered Wednesday 10pm Arrived today (Friday)
£24 is a lot for tow flimsy small black Diamonds BUT the install time saving/ hastle & reversability make it well worth it.

I'd deffinetly recommend them to anyone who is considering it

  20. Another advantage over painting/dipping is that they will not chip. The ABS plastic is the same colour right through.

  21. Got mine yesterday. Will get them fitted soon. They look ok actually.

  22. well i've ordered, see if it suits the blue

  23. Mine ordered...... just a wipe down with panel wipe before lacquer ?

  24. Arrived and sitting in the garage perched on some sockets with a lacquer coat applied...

  25. Here's mine - so far, so good, let's see how they cope with the Australian sun...
