Evening all. Could'nt stay away from owning another RS forever. Have previously owned a 182 up until about 4 years ago where i lost the plot a bit and got a diesel Audi and hen a zetec S fiesta. Been on the CS.net forum for years and now how useful it has been so it made sense to sign up here. Picked up my LY R26 on saturday night and loving it! its a 1 owner on 53k. Before it was put up for sale it had a full service, belt and water pump changed, new pads and drilled disc's plus fluid, new engine mount, front coils and 4 tyres. Loving having power again and starting to get used to having a turbo as ive never driven one before. Only got 1 pic for now as ive been working since i got the car and snapped this on my lunch break. Plans are to keep the car fairly standard. Only real thoughts are i want a new head unit to gain the use of phone for music and calls. Also, possible a cat back to get a little more noise - but nowhere like the yozza was on my 182. No you will see me asking questions around the forums soon enough! Matt
Welcome mate sounds like a good purchase!! you don't need to worry too much about it sounding like a Clio sport - even with no silencers it would be quieter! My old Clio was deafening! Lol
Don't they have Bluetooth? My standard unit has Bluetooth and the aux for my phone was a £6 10 minute job! Lovely car though!
Cheers guys. Well a new head unit has already been ordered. Pick up new mats on Saturday, have picked up some paint to do a few things I have planned and ordered some new white interior bulbs. Don't think it has bluetooth. Or an aux socket unless its on the back. Won't matter for long anyways.
You should have Bluetooth! Look in your manual book and it should have a Bluetooth instruction book. Or just turn on the Bluetooth on your phone and press the forward search button on the stalk and it should search for devices!
Bluetooth was never standard on the R26. I bought one from Renault that plugged into the standard head unit, wasn't much good though
Sure is Mate, welcome over. It's a good piece of kit. Got my out of an hour long traffic jam last week, touched detour everything went swimmingly.
