Yeah I'm there in my track 182, I think cliosport crashed the Ford day every year so I assume they made it Ford and Renault lol
This will be my first outing with a recently acquired R26. I originally booked when I had my Clio track car, but that one is now gone!
I just read that on CS, taking it easy!! LOL This will be my first trackday with the Megane, so it will be interesting to see how it goes against the Clio's, which is what I was driving before.
Tim, Mark, nice to meet you guys today. My dad and I were impressed with the Meganes overall performance, having recently stepped up from the Clio. The only area where I will look for immediate improvements is in the brake department. I will take your advice Tim and get some Goodridge hoses to finish off my setup. There were some very good knocking about today, and everyone seemed to be on their best behaviour, which is always a bonus.
Good to meet you today. Make sure you order the correct ones as the hoses are different between R26 and 225. My brake setup at moment is ATE Super Blue fluid, Goodridge hoses, standard rear brakes, Brembo HC front discs, and DS2500 front pads. I wasn't impressed with the stopping power compared to my old Tarox grooved discs so think I'll switch back and get DS2500 on the rear again as well.
Hi Tim, get a set of DS 1.11s up front with the high carbon plain discs, 2500s on the rear, you'll be blown away in the stopping power mate, can be bought from JJC race and rally
