Hey guys and girls. Name is Paul, from Pembrokeshire in Wales, been an owner of a Megane sport 225 for a few months now after upgrading from an Astra Sri. A slight power difference as I soon noticed the day I picked my new toy up was told by a few people to steer clear but as with all cars, they are only as reliable as they are looked after. Plus advice is always taken on board but in the end its down to the individual and me being stubborn ended up going against the advice, touch wood I'm not regretting it up to now. Welcome Paul, same here amigo, when I told me mates I was getting a Renault they almost fell over laughing, now we have been up a few mountain roads and down again, they don't seem to laugh as much lol.......
Just 1 section of a 5 mile blinder and at the end of it a nice bacon buttie , I did promise you grey, one day you will drive that road amigo ))))
Cheers guys. When I bought the car it was in a good condition barring a dent on the drivers rear arch, used this to haggle the price which did me a bit of a favour. Completely standard up to now which is new for me as by now I've usually done something to a car lol. Here's a few pics anyways. The dent seen in the poic is now sorted anyway, got it done at a local body shop and fair play they did a fantastic job, top job done. Only got a few pics on ere atm.
Hi Paul, welcome to RSM People may laugh when you tell them you're buying a Renault, but they won't laugh as hard as they did when you said you were buying that Astra Only joking mate - 225 looks good BTW, glad you got the dent sorted.
Good choice mate, was stuck between a 86, GTi6 and RS250 Proof is in the pudding, test drove them and nothing came close to the RS in terms of smiles when you push it; Enjoy bud!
Seems to be more and More South Wales owners cropping up - will have to have a meet once the weather starts improving!

Haha funnily enough I didn't have much said about the astra, however the people that tried to push me away from getting the megane soon changed their opinion when they got in it . Aye the dent was awful so had to get that done right away. Got a few plans for her but a few highly things need sorting first including a very annoying vibration running through the cabin, dissapears though under acceleration, only reappears undert low revs or on idle. Few marks on the alloys need sorting but apart from that she's mint. Cheers... Paul.
Aye, I changed the bottom mount and it eased it for a bit but returned shortly after so will replace them all just to be safe and hopefully will do the job Cheers
Hello, ive had German cars for years. Bought the RS250, love the way it drives & handles. Not too keen on the plastics used & the crap radio, but, it is a laugh & a half. I live everyday with ridicule for buying French(this is from an owner of a Zafira vxr who pays £480 road tax!). Never thought i would buy French, but i love it.
