Hi for all members, I am French 44 years old. After two Clio 2 RS (172 and 182cv) herewith some pictures of my 2010 250cv Megane III RS Cup. It's the best car i ever have. My retaired father (77 years old) drive every day a 2010 Mazda 3 MPS ......
Bonjour udimension, accueillie long. Car looks great as does the MPS. Have you driven both? What are your thoughts?
Sorry in advance for my English level. Yes, I often drive both cars. I know very well the qualities and defects of each. I love these two different spirit cars. Mazda MPS has the qualities of the defects of the Megane RS and vice versa. Mazda MPS is a very practical and versatile sports for every day. Five doors, a very large trunck (if you fold the seats), not too firm suspension. It is terrible in engine torque. Few cars can compete with it on this point. This car is already very fast road. The Mégane RS is less practical and versatile but is a circuit "beast". The handling is simply one of the best front-wheel drive in the world. Really much better than the Mazda MPS. The brakes are very much more effective too, powerful and durable in intensive use. The choice of one or the other will depend on the expectations. MAZDA MPS generation 2: Positives: - Quality of finish / correct assembly - Level of equipment (Complete original without expensive options) - Exceptional Motor (including torque) - Comfort - Habitability - Maintenance Cost (supply chain) - Very good quality of the Bose sound system Negatives: - Torque effect not run very well felt in the steering wheel - Handling in very sporty driving - very limit braking - Ridiculous size of GPS - Easily high fuel consumption ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Megane 3 RS Cup: Points Positives: - excellent traction - perfect handling - perfect braking - Very good GPS (size and performances) - Reasonable consumption Negatives: - Quality of finish / medium assembly - Fairly linear motor - Firm comfort (Cup chassis) - Limited habitability - Car stereo (not Bose) Average If you change the original brake of the Mazda MPS, and you work on handling (shock absorbers and other parts), you will get a great sports car that will be more convenient in everyday life than the Megane RS.
Oh, brilliant comparison between the two cars there mate - impressive. Just one question - I'm not sure what you're saying about the torque of the MPS - is it good or bad? Also, in the UK the road tax cost of the MPS puts many people off buying them. My friend has seriously looked at them but will not buy due to the tax. Is this the same in France? Your English is great by the way, much better than my French
The torque of the Mazda MPS is really good. Especially on the Mazda 3 MPS first generation. I could also drive the first generation which is clearly more "brutal" than the second. You can clearly feel more power with the engine of the first generation. Megane RS 250cv VS Mazda MPS second generation : http://www.zeperfs.com/duel2906-3080.htm Megane RS VS Mazda MPS first generation : http://www.zeperfs.com/duel2906-1388.htm you can see the clear difference in torque between the MPS first and second generation. In France, it is the ecological tax that penalizes a lot the purchase of powerful sports cars. But only the first owner pays this tax. My Megane RS is a used car, i am the second owner, so i have nothing paid as tax....
