  1. Last year i was brought this by my parents for my 21st after owning a Citroen Saxo Furio, it was time to move on  so this is how i got home after a holiday from turkey with this outside all cleaned by the rents, even though not to my standard i was very grateful!

Few Months down the line in the new year, MOT was due! so the following was needed and to top it off added a few more mods!

    - New Hub bearing (MOT Failure)
    - Cooksport Springs fitted all round after OSF spring had snapped!
    - D2s Bulbs (eBay ones mind as wasn't paying £50 a bulb)
    - Renaultsport Mats
    - Mud Guards
    - Michelin PS3's
    - Legal Pressed Plates
    - Back Box Chop (done yesterday so now straight through and loving it)

This is how it now looks,

Loving the car now!!! Just a few more things to do in the future,

    - Short Shift Mod (Getting Done Saturday!!)
    - Forge BOV
    - R26r Spoiler
    - Maybe Ph2 Rear Lights

  2. Just to add, been remapped (local garage jobby), new top engine mount and new strut mount! car has done 78k picked up for £3000 with 68k on clock!

  3. Nice project mate, bobbing on with the mods at a great rate, looks good on the cooks. Keep it up

    lee

  4. Nice car fella, I almost bought a black one but the upkeep would annoy me too much lol. Looks well on the cooksports.

  5. Cheers guys, Yeah love it on the cooks!! Does annoy me sometimes knowing it's next too black (midnight blue) however, it's a rare colour for the car  gets dirty quick but it looks amazing when it's clean!!

  6. Nice meg mate looks good mines a nightmare to keep shiny too

  7. Fabia front splitter, R26.R spoiler and that will look really nice.

  8. Yeah mate, planning to get the R26r spoiler!!! Totally forgot about the splitter. Great shout. And will put it on the wish list

  9. Fabia splitter.

  10. mate that looks awesome. How much you talking?! And easy to fit or require some modifying?!

  11. £9 from skoda but thinks now £12.

Start from the middle and work out using self tapers chap, then Stanley knife the ends off:smile:

  12. sweet  what you think of the cupra r splitter? not look better that the fabia?

  13. My cupra R splitter.

  14. sweet, how much did that set you back? need to get my hands on one of them i think!!!

  15. deffo go for the PH2 lights they make the PH1 look much cleaner at the back
also the PH2 inserts on the rear have a deeper pocket which makes them stand out more  its something I keep meaning to do on mine
so fabia splitter vs cupra splitter ?

  16. Don't know what to get... think the cupra splitter looks better mind

  17. Yeah think it's down to how much u want to spend at the end of the day

  18. Money isn't really an issue hence the money spent in the last 12 months haha!

  19. If money isnt the issue than you sholud get some oem osram d2s night braker unlimited bulb, that will increse the light output noticably than the chonese one ls you are running and also prottect the headlights as they have UV filters o them ect that procetst both the projectors and the front "glass"

Your car is tidy by the way  i like it very much

  20. haha i didn't mean it like that, just think £50 for 1 bulb is extortionate when i got some from a xenon kit for £15 for a pair 8000k  also, £15 for the fabia splitter / £30 for the cupra r one, is nothing when you can always see it... my lights are hardly on and £100 for a new set of bulbs to just be sat there is a waste of money to me... i completely understand where your coming from though... and they aren't chinese!! haha, not like thats a bad thing as majority of the stuff is made there!

  21. Ok cheap and crapy chinese, and for 15£ they are for sure those, dont mind the name on them.

And why in the hell did U take 8k output, they have much less light aprox as much as tired and old halogen bulb. I prefer mu light keot at the highest level as much as my brakes , the two primary safety features of a vechicle. Just my two C

  22. very valid point, can't remember what make they were something like Ultra i think, and the reason i got 8k was down to the fact it looks ace on the car IMO! and i can't really see much difference in the brightness tbh... i don't drive around much in the night anyway! Each to their own though! I'm sure i wouldn't have something that you have got on your car haha!

  23. It is there for safety and visiability, butnas you said, each to their own.

Ps you would see the difreence in right out the first time you turn them on.
But the blue color trics your eyes to think there is more light as the blue light strains the eyes

However i like your car very much, and to me ph1 apart from maybe tail lights is much nicer than ph2

  24. Must be the trick on my eyes then! haha! but great knowledge pal

Thanks bro, glad a few more people like it on here too , i also agree with you on the ph1 looks better, and will be planning on getting the ph2 rear bulbs this month :tongueout:

  25. lights* not bulbs lol

  26. About to buy the Ph2 rear lights now... used but in mint condition and only £28 with all bulbs etc!!

  27. As some may have seen, i have had the short shift mod done, renaultsport gear knob and ph2 rear lights on their way, order of front splitter will be next week (payday), will try and get the mrs to buy me a R26r spoiler and dump valve then i am complete for a little while....

  28. Where did you get them for that price?! Usually more than that for 1 just rear light

  29. Got bored today and received the correct wiring looms so whilst being at the parents I fitted the phase 2 lights. Now looking how I want it to look!!

    ubatymug.jpg

  30. sorry for the late reply mate... got them from ebay! and they were spot on as you can see by the pic... just need the other fog light wiring loom as only have one currently!

  31. Keep meaning to wire up the other fog on mine it's a fairly simple mod
u should apply some tinting film to the reversing lamps I think it makes them look better on black cars, here's mine
    [IMG]

  32. yeah looks alright that tbh! might try it but alright as they are for the min haha! going to get the r spoiler next with a forge dv

  33. Yeah the R spoiler is on my long list of things to do :tongueout:

  34. Haha. What else you planning

  35. Don't know if to get my alloys sprayed black or something, whats everyone else opinion.... looks alright on this megane https://flic.kr/p/nn2HUK

  36. That's mine, just keep one thing in mind, when clean they look the nuts in black! But when you clean the car you always need to use some tyre shine in order to make them look good

  37. yeah i know its yours thats what got me thinking about getting them sprayed... will it look alright on my car though as its not black its midnight blue?!

  38. agree with paul, mine are needing a refurb as the laquer is starting to peel :worried:
latest upgrade for me is a stage one map from henk, every time I drive the car I can't stop smiling

  39. I think it certainly will look good!
I'm waiting for my calipers now from the coater

  40. sweet may think about getting them sprayed soon then  will only cost me £80 for all 4 to be refurbed and sprayed (someone i know)
