Which once folks, I haven't done either of these tracks and am looking at booking one of the rs days. Funds permitting I'll do both with the Bedford day sandwiched in between. Just wondering which one is the better track. I've not been on track for nearly 2 years so to say I'm rusty is an understatement. Any reviews of the two tracks would be great, cheers.
Corey, location and length of track mean Oulton for you. I have done both circuits at Brands and only the gp is worth it. The circuit used for the rs days is the short 1.2 mile circuit, great in the wet but too short in the dry.
Thanks mate, I did wonder which of the circuits you get to do. Itching to get back into track days, been way too long.
Do Oulton and Brands and then if funds allow, do the Bedford one. Oulton is simply and epic track. I can't wait to drive it again.
Appreciate the feedback chaps, I'd already booked the Bedford one as I thought it would be a good little track to get back into it. Then my work calender freed up and have me a couple of options. I think I'll opt for Oulton. Any of you guys doing the RS day or are you going direct via MSV etc?
I think if you do it through RS then it goes through MSV anyway. Got a text this morning to say use April15 as a code and you get 15% off as well.
Yup.. Oulton mate, I've never done it before and wanted to do it last year so I'm deffo in for this year and gonna stay over the night before
Oulton without a doubt. A great circuit. I did not find the short Brands track very inspiring, apart from Paddock Hill Bend (at the end of the main straight) which is fantastic. Have not done Brands GP yet as they do not use it for trackdays very often and when they do it is massively expensive.
Oulton every time for me, and i live 2 minutes from Brands, the GP circuit is great, but rarely used and when it is it's feckin expensive
Plenty of love for oulton, that's the decision made then! Ed, it would be good to catch up mate, which ones are you hoping to go to this year?
At the ring next week, then looking to do rockingham, possibly silverstone and goodwood is on the list too mate.
If you do go to Oulton watch out for druids as where the trees overhang and there's sap on the track and as soon as it rains a bit it's very slippy alot of people come off there.
Thanks for the tip! Ed, give me a shout when you're heading to Rockingham or Silverstone, I'll swing by our you can pop by for a brew. You can detail my car while your up
Will do mate, im up silverstone in september for the ferrari event so can go for a drink then. Do brands and you can have a detail and free instruction
