My megane is suffering quite badly from chips on the rear arches and door frame bottoms has anyone any experience with having this repaired is it going to be a full rear quarter re spray ?
There only really noticeable when it's really gleaming clean but it's never gonna be a super show car with them I'm gonna put some flaps on afterwards to try and stop it coming back
i have this problem too, hopefully gettin it resprayed next month then gettin clear vinyl around the arch for extra protection
I want them redoing just an idea of cost really in going to fit mudguards and possibly some clio skirts so that should help
I tried to cut my arch area using some P1 to get rid of my stone chips. I don't advise it, the compound goes chalky when polishing which filled the chips with white residue and actually highlighted the area. Not good on a black car! Damn it
Quite obvious on LY, goes up about 3x the height of the vinyl on the rear arch, and around the corner of the door frame. The doors seem to sit in slightly which doesn't help. Fitted front flaps to try to prevent more damage, a bit concerned about the paint match to get it repaired - considering getting some vinyl over the top just to protect it.
Unfortunately stone chips can't be helped Its worsened by motorway driving too My front bumper currently looks like Daniella westbrook
I install some mud flaps, that way no stone chips on my side. U ll need to respray the part. also place some 3m clear tape for cover
Thats what i thought, but the OEM Renault, ones sprayed in body colour are fine, not noticeable at all. I had to get some when i noticed my stone chips getting worse and in my opinion the OEM ones are the best option out their, although you do have to get them sprayed / do it yourself in the body colour
I bought mine with the vinyl things on my rear arch they don't look that nice! My mate who's just finished at BMW for 15 years has started his own place spraying did mine and it was a bloody good job. If anyone is near peterborough he's 10 mins outside of it I can put you to him to get them done
its for sand back prime respray and lacquered. its up to the panel fold rather than the window. guys ment to be top notch for colour matching tho
