About to put KW V3s on my mk3 next week, I played around with the rebound settings with an allen key, is it normal that they don't click when you turn them?

For those who's using them do you mind sharing your compression and rebound setting for road use

    Thanks.

From memory, I don't think they click

I set mine to the factory settings are were spot on for rd use

I'd start there & then adjust to suit

You can google the manuals, if you've got a tool kit it should be in there

    Rebound - front 6, rear 9

    Bump - rear 5

Thanks. Did you run into vibration issues under acceleration when using v3s or club sport and how did you solve it?

  7. yes!! but after I install spacer they gone !!!

Just to clarify that's driveshaft spacers?

  10. I’ve been running V3’s for a year now. I noticed that my top adjustment didn’t click at all. Kw told me they do but everyone else in here says otherwise. I’m having to go off by ° instead which is a bit crappy. Question is, what wheels are you running? I’m looking at getting some but obvs V3’s aren’t camber adjustable:worried:

    Thanks!

A mechanic said to me: to get your clicks back you just need to spray some WD-40 on there, then keep twisting it back and forth using an allen key or the key knob from your kw tool kit then the clicks will come back, they just have dirt in there. I did just that then the clicks came back.

In terms of wheels, I am running Team Dynamics 1.2 18x8 et45 with 225s all around, my car is pretty low, the front is fine, but the rear rubs a bit under heavy load, some say just remove the 2 screws on the rear arches if it rubs. Or you can just have wheels that are et48 or above, given that you are running thinner tyres like I am (double check this yourself). OEM is et60 I believe.

Whether you have negative cambers or not, most would say not to go below et45, as that's kind of the limit. More info here: https://rsmegane.com/threads/megane-3-rs-wheel-fitment-guide.17593/

Do you have any vibration issue under acceleration after installing the V3s, if so, how did you get it sorted? Thank you

  12. Thanks for the reply!
Ideally I’d like to go up to 8.5 considering standard is 8.25. I do prefer chunky looking tyres though so as far as ET goes, I’m not entirely sure what to go for:/ yes when I first installed them I had a weird vibration on acceleration. In the end I just raised the front up the smallest bit and it stopped doing it. I’ve heard people say on Facebook it can be normal though to an extent. I did buy some driveshaft spacers x2 which I havnt fitted yet though. I can sell them to you if worse comes to worse and you can’t sort it mate.

You might need to shime the rear axle and speak to some wheel gurus lol

Thanks, someone did say just raising it a bit would help, I shall do that; though I already have a spacer installed on the short shaft, which reduced the vibration, but did not eliminate it.

  14. Have you got any photos of how it’s sitting? Obvs it could be something else or you are just running the front real low. Have you needed to get adjustable anti roll links?

Can go over speed humps, but on 2 wheels

I have adjustable drop links installed with the coilovers

  17. It’s not even silly low so it’s gotta be something that can be sorted

  18. How long you hd the coilovers fitted? I had h&r originally on mine with the driveshaft spacers on both sides, and it intially vibrated on acceleration/squatting. But i think it stopped by itself.

Had them installed like 2 months ago. Apparently if there isn't a gap between the shaft and hub and if you installed spacers it would actually cause vibrations. There will only be gaps when you go lower than 30mm, again apparently.

  20. Yeh mine was dropped 40mm, so just above the tyre on the 19” steev alloys. Im on bilatein b14s now. Cant say ive noticed the vibrations for a few years now thou.
