Evening guys I’ve got a couple of questions I’ve got 225/40/18 PS4 tyres on my Megane with ultraleggares and tbh not a big fan of the tyres I had f1 supersports on my old Mk7gtd golf gti and they was epic wondered if you guys had used them on your megs also the wheel is an 8j can I run a 235 tyre sorry if this had been asked a million times any help is much appreciated
Use Eagle F1 Supersports 235x40x18 on my R26 18x8 rims. Really like them in the dry and the wet. Will be getting the same again when they wear out.
Thank you mate that’s what I was hoping for the PS4 compared to the f1 supersports are just not as good and would like a 235 knowing it will be ok. Cheers
I've ran the supersports on the road and on wet/damp track, really impressed but can't compare to the ps4.
i fitted eagle f1 super sports last week and i can honestly say they are amazing the grip is good and the car feels like it’s on rails very responsive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks mate. I bought my Meg with these wheels and tyres are on already both brand new and they just don’t grip or feel nowhere near as good as the f1 supersports I had on my gold gti. I was wondering how they performed on the mega being a lighter car really and if I can fit a 235 tyre but apparently I can do will soon swap these out for sure
i wasn’t to sure which tyre to go with to be honest the michelin PS4 or the eagle f1 super sport so i came on here and started a thread about tyres and to be fair a lot of people had mixed reviews about them both iv never tried the PS4 so i can’t comment on them personally but i’m glad i went with the eagle f1 now [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've had Eagle F1 and now have PS4s. No comparison tbh. The F1s are good but The PS4s are way better and give you more confidence. The supersports sound very interesting though Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Cheers mate yeah I had both on previous car both the PS4’s and the f1 supersports and for me the supersports was so much better. But not tried them in the Meg yet
I have used the Asymmetric 5's on the road and on a wet track and will be defiantly be buying some more for the R26. Not tried the Supersports but then i would go slicks for dry track, or the Asymmetric 5's for the wet.
The Asy5 is a good tyre and was Goodyear’s first serious attempt at taking on the mighty PS4 Goodyear since developed the F1 supersport which is easily as good as its rival the PS4S and slight better in wet Only downside though they don’t last that well, price pay for sticky tyre I guess
