200 cell sport downpipe

I’d looked at these Jamie, what’s the fit like?

 

I put the decat on a megane for my mate and it fits perfect. The welding work is very high quality i think the fella used to work for a well known tuner but he didnt say who.

 

Does it come with gaskets etc or will I need to get them separately?

 

The didn't come with the decat but they are metal type Standard so i just reused them in fact ive always reused them in all the meganes ive done over the years with no issue.

 

Think I might treat myself to one then!

 

I’ve looked at these aswell. Looks like a generic magnaflow sportscat welded into a decat pipe.

 

A cheap decat is about 180 quid, that sportcat on its own will cost you circa 100 quid so overall if the fitment is good it looks a really good price. I was just worried when I looked at it that the fitment might not be great but if Jamie230 has first hand experience it’s good then I might be tempted to get one.

I had the same sportcat welded into a ktec exhaust downpipe on my r26 which passed the mot fine once it was warm. If it’s in the standard cat place I’d imagine it will pass an mot no probs.

 

You're right... I sent a message asking what the cat's brand was, and he replied Magnaflow. The job looks great, and he responds as soon as he receives a message from a buyer!

 

If you have close look at rs tunings sports cat they look pretty much identical.

 

And in your opinion, are Magnaflow's cat's good, and won't we have problems at MOT?

 

As I said I had one welded in the down pipe so further back. It needed a bit of heat in it but passed mot no problem. If it’s in same place as normal cat it will be hotter anyway so will work better. I’d have no problem using one.
