First post on here used to own 450bhp impreza and 400bhp S6 now have found in my possession a flying french man as I like to call it. It's a 300bhp Megane 225 Renault sport. 5 door comes with brembo brakes as standard grilled and groved disks, Now for the fun has had apexi yellow racing springs, cold air intake upgraded intercooler, Air box delete for cone air filter K&N being fed by the cold air intake, standard recirc blank for bailey's dump valve, Full stainless steel straight threw exhaust with racing cat. Rremapped stage 2 supposed 300bhp was fast for a hour before rod got spat threw block. Now the problems weekend job 13 hours and many snapped bolts and problems later full engine change for good runner FSH 65K miles also done timing and full service new platinum spark plugs. Primed went to start didn't fire to life however did after tow start then died when revs dripped below 3k crank senor sosnew one today started fine miss fire now runs on 3 at a loss need help don't no what to do with the flying frenchman Liverpool Merseyside new to forum any advice cheers.
Can't get a match for the injector as faded writing on all 4 comes up cylinder 2 misfire. Ordered injector matched by reg and when turned up was wrong as all 4 have got 8 holes on spray nozzle and the new one only had 4 holes and never worked when changed. Thanks for reply
Will try that tomorrow cheers mate do you know how to check if its a coil heard that when unplugged the misfire jumps making it difficult to find
swap the coils around, then retest to see if it still throws a fault on that cylinder Just as likely to be the injector though
hopefully one of the guys with a lot more mechanical knowledge will post. If its a misfire,odds on it coils/injector though.
