Anybody with Ohlins fitted lower springs to a 265/275? Also does anyone know the spring rates for the Ohlins springs? Before anyone says they're matched and all that and it'll ruin the setup,I can't see it affecting it much because the majority of the work is done by the dampers.
Run h&rs or something mate. The springs are oe cup springs and the damping is adjustable so ofcourse, within reason, you could match the damper to your new spring rate. Dale. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Regarding fast (bumpy) road use, be sure that you will ruin the handling. You lower roll centers as well as reducing significatelly wheel travel. Spring rates (from RUK) : Megane Trophy / Megane Trophy-R Front Rear Front Rear Spring rate (N/mm) 47 36 48 33 Flexibility (mm/100kg) 13.2 18.8 12.9 20.2 Natural frequency (Hz) VODM+2 1.54 1.67 1.59 1.68
I bought and recentrly installed the Ohlins kit with front composite and steel rear springs. The car lowered 1,5 cms. in the front and 1 cm at the rear. The rear springs are shorter. Very nice feel and a less bumpy set up compared to oem 265 suspension.
I am on 18s. For road I use 150mm spring height and 4 clicks front with 8 clicks rear. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando Tapatalk
Just thought I'd give this a bump. I have the ohlins on my 275 cup s. Love the feel of them but would prefer the look of a lower car. Has anyone tried eibachs (or H&Rs) front and rear.
These rates look a lot lower than those I have found for the Cup of 73 front and 52 rear - can you clarify?
