    Hi Guys
Just thought i'd share my new big brake setup with you, bought a pair of good used 265 disc's, already had a set of calipers from a 250/265 i bought a couple of months ago.

got a local engineering company to drill some new mounting holes in the disc's and they also made some bar spacers to fit under the calipers.

Had to slightly open out the brake pipe locating gap to let in the stainless brake pipes.

Fitted a set of CL RC6's

Managed to get it all sorted for the Renault sport day at Bedford and i am very pleased with the result,

  2. Currently doing exactly the same, i'm going to fit a hubcentric ring for the new disc though

I did ask about them. but the machine shop gut said it would be okay with just the retaining screws and it seems to be okay, had a full track day and no problems.

  4. How would you compare stopping power to the standard setup?

  5. Thank you for doing this! I have set of the RS250 Brembo's sitting there and I have been thinking about how to fit them to my R26

I take it clearance on the R26 rims is tight?

  6. Have you got any pics of the mounting position for the calliper?

25-30% better, way more confident when approaching corners, thought i had some vids from Bedford but the new sd card was a dead one.
No hint of brake fade ever.

Fitting them isn't an issue, longer bolts i bought were about 3mm to long, i had a guy i know well make up some spacer bars instead of spacer rings.
I would say that there is still enough room to go 355mm with 18 inch rims, but i am happy with the set up now so will leave as it is

Thought i did, but will take some more pics soon as i will strip and check it all out.
The calipers have the same bolt position, just need spacing out 9mm and bolts 9mm longer.

  10. you sure it's 9mm? on a trial hub i had to space them out 12-13mm, will go for 12 because they need to fit 17" too in my application.

Ha Ha ha it's been a long day, 14mm not 9, if you are on 17's then i think they will be close but clear, will measure tomorrow if you want.

  12. I'm okay mate, will go for 12 as i need the extra clearance!

  13. Are you the guy that had the charge cooler at Bedford?
