Having previously owned a Clio 197 for almost 5 years, I always wanted the upgrade to the Megane at some point. I bought this 2014 265 Cup in February this year. It ticked all the boxes for me with regards to spec etc. Few pics of the day I got it; I wanted to liven up the front a bit so purchased the red / black front blade; After that it was time for an exhaust upgrade. I debated several systems including resonated / non resonated aswell as milltek / Akrapovic etc and finally settled on a non resonated Scorpion cat back system; Nice fit and sounds very good, thankfully not too boomy or loud which was a mistake I made when I initially put the Ktec system on my Clio! After the exhaust upgrade I wanted to add a FMIC. Again I deliberated over manufacturer and colour combo. So I settled on the Airtec stage 2 in a red and black combo; And an arty farty Instagram pic just to bring the red out; The car is currently away getting three of the wheels refurbished as they had slight kerbing when I bought the car. I have booked into RS Tuning for a map at the beginning of June aswell as getting a full paintwork enhancement and hydrophobic coating application which will be done at the end of June in time for Summer and hopefully some decent weather! Just a few more random photos to sign off with;
Looking good there - never a fan of the steevs to be honest but the blade suits. You running them plates all the time?
Lovely car, just realized that grey is probably my favourite colour on the Meg 3 RS. I love the front with the red/black blade and the red/black airtec cooler, looks fantastic! Do keep us updated on the progress with this beauty! Tapatalkkal küldve az én SGP321 eszközömről
@DoubleD - thanks! The blade from memory was around £90 from Renault. I work for a dealer so get some nice discounts. It's a bumper off job to fit. @Xanda73 - thanks! Yeah I'm running them all the time although I've now got a smaller plate for he front. Thank you everyone else for your kind words . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've been searching for the red/black blade. Do you have links on how to purchase? Some instructions would be great too. thanks!
I've no links but your local dealer should be able to help. Instruction wise you just need to remove the front bumper and it should be easy enough from there to remove the old one and replace with the new.
Man, you are really lucky that you find those coilovers from eBay with that price! And looking good ofcourse!
Lovely car man ! CL pads are worth trying. Much more bite than standard. I went with the RC5+ and they are great, the only downside is they are pretty noisy so need a good stomping on a trackday to keep them quiet (excuse for trackday).
To be honest I'm not sure what height they have been set at, I reckon -40mm all round though. My standard pads had seized quite badly in the front calipers and although I've had a brake service carried out the brakes aren't great. They have started to squeal badly and barely any bite. A friend put RC5+ into his 182 and they are very good so thinking of going down that route! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Car looks great in those last 2 pics! Sorry, I meant that more like "is that the lowest they will go, or any adjustment left?" - because that ride height looks perfect to me...
I'm suprised at the BHP, i thought it would be higher. I had a map done much closer to home for £250 and i get 303 with only a mid box chop BUT your torque is about 30 more, this probably makes quite a difference but not so sure it's to useful on a FWD car. I don't get why so many ppl dislike the Steev wheels, i love um! I see you have made an error, the M E G A N E is still attached to the rear Must wash the car later....
The M E G A N E is the next modification along with some carbon fibre goodies . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
