Hi folks. Delighted to be joining here and returning to the renaultsport fold after almost 10 years since I sold my Yozzasport prepped 172 Cup. I've just ordered a Megane Cup 275s in Mercury specced with recaros, akraprovic and ohlins. Took one out for an extended testdrive and made it to the evo triangle. The car impressed, even though it was cold, wet and icy the higher I went. Hope it will be qa worthy successor to my mk 7 Golf R. Look forward to sharing the ownership experience with you guys.
Welcome! Don't be too surprised that it isn't as quick A-B as the 7R, Particularly in our weather and on our roads in the UK. However it will be a much more involved and rewarding drive.
it will be as quick in the dry. The golf has been great, but the turn in, seating position and overall feel was more focused in the Meg. The version I test drove didn't have the ohlins - don't expect there to be too much difference between them and the cup chassis, but they should add some desirability in the future.
