Hi boys, what iscausing bad front camber on a r26, i know that its not adjustable, is it the strut mount or any suspension part can affect it, i had tracking done in two places and still have a positive camber ns and alot negative os, thanks
I had similar and when checking found the spring broken. Recently replaced it but still pulls left. Need to get the tracking checked in new year
When i left garage on tuesday car was fine, but as i had a rear axle replaced, new driveshaft, wheel bearing and a missing washer on one side of tie rod added, i had to get it geo checked, now car feels horrible on the first pic car is has ok readings but not perfect feel the second pic is hunter alignment, recommended technician from a work colleague, but the readings are a mess and the car has a terrible pull to left
Let me know what you find. Weirdly mine went to shit after having a track rod and a steering rack bush done
so based on the hunter figures and noting the only part that's adjustable on these vehicles is front toe only: clearly the front cambers is out with nearly 2 deg on right less than .5 deg on left, could fit an aftermarket top mount that would allow adjustment or can 'slot' the body top mount holes to allow some adjustment at local race prep garage. front caster not adjustable easily but not issue here front toe which is adjustable is set to neutral which is OK but ideally want to give the vehicle some direction, some toe IN or OUT depending on what your use is, but neutral is fine. rear camber is out, this can be corrected with aftermarket shims relatively easily rear toe is also out and is effectively steering the vehicle from rear and can be corrected with the same shim as camber it's basically a wedge that fits on the hub and can be rotated to induce camber or toe or both. hope this helps
Car does go straight now at speed, but it is camber sensitive at low speed and when driving over humps, when the car wobbles, it always steers to the left, thats i think caused by the suspension, left side i more worn, i am considering a refresh in summer Have u changed both track rods? And done alignment?
Definitely not knackered front hub swivel bearings? Sounds really like mine when I got it before I visited Mark Black - they were fooked!!
That's what I would have said! Lower swivel bearings! Did you do the bearings between tracking sessions? No reason why camber should change especially when only the toe has been changed. Suggests the test environment wasn't perfect or they didn't set it up to measure anything accept toe accurately! I've had my car done twice this year and had similar experiences: I've also got wandering and non cantering issues. Replaced track rod ends, inner joints, anti twist links, ARB droplinks and steering bush. Just changed the track rod ends again and set the toe myself which now needs attention. I'm convinced I need new swivel bearings now
