  1. My R26 Project

First of sorry for the lack of photo's, never really have been one for taking car photos but i'm sure I can managed to get some taken and uploaded.
    Current Spec

    - Glacier White r26
    - BC Racing Coilovers & Solid Top Mounts
    - 3" ktec racing cat back
    - Modified air box
    - Forge dump valve
    - Forge Blanking Plate
    - AEM Wideband gauge
    - AEM boost gauge

I'd say iv already had my fair share of problems with the 26, many of them been common problems e.g.The window regulators and wiring harness for the number plate lights corroding.
I think my bad luck with the RS started on the drive home from picking it up, a car span out on oil on the motorway in front of me and I almost went into the side of it, brakes where absolutely shocking even though the garaged had just " MOT'd " it, anyway that was the first purchase, a set of genuine front disks. pads and fluid, along with 4 new tyres, a cambelt change and full service.

While getting my new tyres fitted, the guys mentioned a guy called lee from Scunthorpe with a .R and that I should speak to him, not sure if I will find him on here?.

    Future plans
    - New wheels, so they fit flush in the arches
    - A few paintwork blemishes sorted
    - Decat/Sports cat
    - Intercooler
    - Bigger Injectors
    - .R clutch
    - Remapping.

I work in Scunny as passed as you came out.

  8. Okay small update/problem ...

finally got round to fitting my AEM boost gauge & find on " full " boost there are fluctuations

normally spiking at 14/15psi then fluctuating between 6-12psi untill gearchange then spiking then fluctuating. Any ideas?

i presume my old boost gauge never picked these up as it was a pretty cheap one.

  9. Ahhh, im in a world of my own when driving mate. im always out and about usually on east common lane

Are you mates with the guy with the red R26? I work on Grange Lane around the corner and have seen your car loads, usually parked at the top nearest Queensway.

  11. Yeah that will be our lasses mate, the red one is down the road, I think his name is liam... not 100% though.

  12. Cars booked in on the rollers in sleaford tomorrow, will post results, hopefully narrow down where my boost problem is.

Ahh cool. You see my Elise, give me a wave.

  14. I will do buddy, dont see many of them knocking about (:

  15. Got the 26 on the rollers today, she pulled 203bhp at the wheels.
also identified that my AEM gauge is at fault for the boost readings and not an actual problem with the car itself, will be calling AEM asap to get this sorted as the gauge is only 1 week old. photo before the rollers. like I said, im not really any good at taking photos.

  17. cheers buddy, appreciate it.
im not the best with a camera lol, no artistic shots.

  18. Doesn't matter still looks good. White always looks better in the evening or in artificial light.

  20. Wanting to change the wheel colour, thinking a deep red, but then callipers will need changing colour.
while im at it, they also need spacing out so they sit better in the arches, from the back/front IMO the wheels look lost in the arches.

  21. Mine has red wheels & calipers. I must admit I haven't seen you about.
    Looking good by the way.

Saw you call into Draytons earlier! Did you see me at Morrisons the other day?

He's always parked up top of East Common lane.

  23. Cheers lee....im undecided if I want red or not.
don't really want to spend the £250 quid to get them refurbished to then decided I don't like them lol

anyway, took her for a B road blast today to cure my boredom, took some snaps while I was out.

Decided against going for the standard wheel colour & went for .R red. While i was at it, i had the wing mirror covers, door bullets, badges & door handles painted gloss black.
Also fitted some 20mm spacers to the rears

how did you do that to the pillars - looks spot on,

  32. Cheers buddy, i used some auto brite dye, it looked really dark when wet, but when it dryed it look kind of faded so i did i a few runs off gloss black spray paint, just to see how it looked because i was going to get them re trimmed but tbh, they look perfectly fine as they are.... For now
