After owning my clio 182 for the last 5 years i thought id have a change and get something a bit bigger. there was only really 2 cars to choose between a golf gti or a RS Megane. after looking at both i preferred the looks of the megane and stay loyal to the RS brand. The only colours i were looking for was Glacier white or Ultra red after looking at a few of them i picked this up on Saturday just gone.

heres a few pictures of it

Yours makes me want to remove my decals.

  14. Car looks brilliant mate. Few interior improvment really lifts the quality inside the car.

Need to sample more raceglaze products as the few bits ive had from them have been superb

im not to sure if it makes it to plain without them?

yeah i know what you mean, next up is leather arm rest cover and to clean the seat belts

shampoo is really good, couldn't believe the dirty that was coming off of them

  16. Clean your seat belts next ;-)

  17. Sounds daft but is there a particular technique to this?

  18. matt e

matt e South East RSM Area Rep

bucket of water with some daz and vanish oxy action, then just jet wash them, thats what i did with my 182 seatbelts

  19. Yup. I sprayed with apc left to soak and then jet washed.

Nice to know about this car,i like it so much but never do any repairing on this model, actually its very rare in my area but you owned it and also change its many components, good work done on it.I like it.

  21. Looks great, love ultra red

My old R26 was white, but think UR looks just as good, I especially think it looks good with black wheels, I wanted an UR 250 but couldn't find the right car/spec when looking for mine....

As mentioned, never too far with the exhausts, when I got my Trophy a few years back, the exhaust were filthy, used a bit of Auto Finesse Mercury and the came up a treat....

so when i was fitting the new brake pins i noticed that the holes in the brake discs had tiny cracks in them

15084530445_9255bd4b24_z.jpg IMG-20140830-WA0002 by mattageaton, on Flickr

so i ordered a set of replacement pads and plain discs and painted the centres of them, to try i stop them from rusting

while i was fitting the brakes i was going to fit studs as well as it makes putting the wheel back on so easy

trial fitting before i loctited them

All fitted, the drivers side disc was quite a b**ch to get off,few swift taps of the hammer and it eventually came off.

Was going to touch up the caliper where the previous own must have had trouble removing the pins, but forgot the pixck up i small brush before i left

14897616269_d6eeeaaf91_c.jpg DSC_0126 by mattageaton, on Flickr

Also fitted i set of mud guards

14888230940_61b2eb5c10_c.jpg DSC_0118 by mattageaton, on Flickr

i got the discs and pads from here, use the code 'ILUVHOSES' and the work out £60.89 delivered for a pair or £92.07 with pads aswell

    http://www.apbrakediscs.co.uk/front...ault-megane-ii-2-0i-16v-t-sport-rs-04-on.html

lol, i do like the sound of mine, i need to sort that out next. the garage where i had it fitted left the rear renault metal bracket on and bolted it to that so it sits to low

  32. Great attention to detail, what did you paint your discs with and has it held up ok since you fitted them?

    Thanks
    Baz

    few little updates

while i was cleaning it i noticed there was gash in the side wall of the tyre and was quite deep. Decided to go for Michelin pilot sport 3's in 235/40/18

wns while i was tidying up the engine bay the terminals on the battery where loose and didn't tighten up, found a little corner shop in luton that just sells renault parts. drove over and picked up positive and a negative terminals

one thing that has been bugging since i bought the car in july was the door sills. One side had the silver trim piece missing and the other one had a dents all over it.

found a pair on ebay and got them for £35 delivered, hopefullt fit them this weekend depending on weather

lastly i ordered a sample of black alcantara off ebay, quite a good match to the Recaros. would like to trim the A,B,C pilers and headlining in it. but its quite expensive, £80 per metre iirc

  38. Looks great :-) I'd love to send a few engine bits off to get chromed. Would look mint I can't justify the faffing though.

  39. Looking good!
