    Decreases Rotational Mass

This performance crankshaft pulley weighs ~620g, which is ~1700g (which is almost 4 times!) lighter than the OEM crank pulley (~2330g), and the "full retard" one is even lighter at ~530g.

Throttle response, horsepower, and torque are all increased with this bolt on part.

I have one (even heavier - 755g - because we were testing it out) on my car for a couple of months and the throttle response? FORGET ABOUT THE SPRINT BOOSTER MOD (I have sold mine because it was too much even on green with this pulley). Literally. You can feel the car revving faster, throttle response is NOTICEABLY better - hell - I can say it makes a massive difference.

    Performance?

With my (heavier) pulley I've gained 1-1.5 lengths of a car in a 50-200km/h street race. Tested it out the same day against the same car (Polo 1.8T GTI)/driver on the same road and conditions a couple of times.

    Pros?

Big difference in the throttle response
Increased performance - less rotational mass frees (I don't like the word gives in this context) those horsepower that we loose between the crankshaft and the wheels.
Clio revs much faster than before, and with AC on the car doesn't feel that sluggish on throttle.

    Cons?

Slight increase on idle vibration (I also have uprated engine mounts so I feel the vibrations much more than on OEM engine mounts), and they increase some more with AC on.

However, if you don't mind the vibrations, you'll find this mod simply great!

I would be great in combination with the lightweight flywheel.

This what I call a "full retard" pulley and it's on my car for the last 10.000km. Have no issues at all concerning the reliability.

    Compared to the "normal" pulley:

  8. A lot of you have been asking me about my lightweight pulleys that I've been selling on the forums for the past 5 years due to the fact someone else started selling a copy of my pulley.

THE ONES THAT I'M SELLING ARE THE ORIGINAL ONES, AND NOW EVEN MORE IMPROVED/LIGHTENED.

    Remenica-EVO2_1.jpg

    Remenica-EVO2_2.jpg

MY PULLEYS ARE MADE WITH CNC LATHE AND USING FIRST GRADE AEROSPACE ALUMINIUM THAT'S LIGHTER AND TOUGHER THAN STANDARD ALUMINIUM.

This performance lightweight crankshaft pulley weighs only ~470g, which is ~1860g (almost 5 times!) lighter than the OEM crank pulley (~2330g).

SO IF YOU WANT AN ORIGINAL AND TESTED OUT MODEL, let me know.

Will be making these in bigger batches so there will be a slight price drop too.
    Price?
    110GBP + shipping.

It usually takes 3-5 work days to reach the UK once I send it.
Payment via PayPal as "Send money to friends and family" or "Payment for goods and services" but please add 5% PayPal fee.

    What it does?
    Decreases Rotational Mass.
I had one (even heavier - 755g - because we were testing it out) in my Clio 197 (not a stock car so I believe that if you own a stock Clio, you should feel even more difference than I did) for a couple of months - and the throttle response? FORGET ABOUT THE SPRINT BOOSTER MOD (I have sold mine because it was too much even on green with this pulley). Literally. You can feel the car revving faster, throttle response is NOTICEABLY better - hell - I can say it makes a massive difference,
    Performance?
    Clio 197/200
With my (much heavier) pulley in my tuned Clio 197 I've gained 1-1.5 lengths of a car in a 50-200km/h street race. I believe the difference with stock car should be even bigger.
Tested it out the same day against the same car (Polo 1.8T GTI)/driver on the same road and conditions a couple of times.
    Megane RS
I've installed it in my Megane 265 Cup and have friends with R26/250/265 with my pulleys installed. Noticeable difference with throttle response and you can't feel the AC on in hot weather conditions. To me, it seems like the car spools a bit faster but it could be a Placebo effect (me wanting it to spool faster with the new pulley  ).
    Pros?
Massive difference in the throttle response
Increased performance - less rotational mass frees (I don't like the word gives in this context) those horsepower that we lose between the crankshaft and the wheels (even bigger effect than lightening your flywheel - at least in my case and with my 5kg vs 6kg stock flywheel in the Clio).
Clio revs much faster than before, and with AC on the car doesn't feel that sluggish on throttle.
    Cons?
Slight increase in vibration on idle (I also have uprated Powerflex engine mounts in the 197 so I feel the vibrations much more than on OEM engine mounts) with the AC on.
However, if you don't mind the slight vibrations at idle (some feel them, some don't) with the AC on, you'll find this mod simply great!
    Installation?
It takes ~20min to install the pulley.
I recommend changing the auxiliary belt too.

  12. One of the first mods on my 377bho 265 Cup.

Throttle response is noticeably faster. Loving it. [emoji632][emoji469][emoji41] 1dd12cf293fd1e6d3a6c26051beb4a09.jpg 134b6d50a226d8474627599fe973ac69.jpg

  14. Some of the reviews I've managed to dig up on Clio197.net forum. a97ea1db4387af0a1493c6902a83bff1.jpg 4c62f00e3f9de2fe8f497d32af00079b.jpg b76c371c90c9833d18c8d3efe3c8ce86.jpg 8b0b0f95e657d7f4ea8de01ddea17443.jpg 0c8d1fbad21bafc3e5f8978ec49f0cae.jpg

  15. Now with 6% stronger and 17% lighter material we've managed to lower the mass to ~400g!

Here's a comparison to my OEM Clio 197 & Megane 265 crankshaft pulleys.

    32106c63e721796d73c84a3611c56227.jpg

It really makes a big difference on the throttle response.

I was sceptical with the one for the Megane because it has much more bhp (377bhp&510Nm in Race map and 273bhp in normal) than the Clio (210bhp/215Nm with all of my modifications back when it was N/A) but I really felt the difference with the throttle response - for you with the RS Monitor and the option to switch between throttle maps it feels like normal vs Sport throttle map.
Only this is for real, it's not like the electronic is just changing the % of the throttle body being open at some % of your pedal.

  16. Tuning is not for everybody.

I have it in my Clio since 2013/2014, no issues whatsoever and the car has 100.000km, at least half of those km are on track.
It was the first mod on my 377bhp Megane 265 when I bought it.

Does it influence on engine longevity - probably. In which percentage - probably less than a remap or a lightweight flywheel etc...

    IMHO, of course.

But then again, I'm the seller - and (most of you probably think) I can't be objective.

  17. Please do not take it the wrong way, i was just replying to the question that miniman asked,
You are correct, some mod more than others will decrease longevity of the whole car for that matters, including remaps.
Like you mentioned for some people modding is not an issue as long as the money is there behind to fix things when something goes wrong.

    i hope i didn't upset you:blush:

  18. No problem m8. [emoji41]

  19. Would a lightened and balanced rotating assembly help to compensate for these not being damped?

  20. It should definitely help.

Some of my customers got the crankshaft/flywheel/pulley balanced together when assembling the engine.

  21. In effect, you're matching the weight and balance of everything as if you were building a completely new crank set up.

I guess if you're lightening one side with a SMF it'll have an impact so if everything was weight matched and then balanced it should be pretty reliable?

  22. And you just reminded me.

The new pulleys are now even lighter and stronger.
Been experimenting with new materials/designs this year.

    280g vs 2340g OEM!

  23. Over 2kg is a huge amount! Factor in another 4kg reduction for a SMF and that's a lot of weight taken away.

I currently run the ktec aircon removal kit which also got rid of a tensioner on the aux belt, I wonder if this would impact the reliability of the belt?

  24. Everything we do impacts on the reliability of the parts/car. More or less. That's tuning.

I have a saying: Tuning is not a lifestyle, it's a life sentence.

    Don't think RenFault doesn't know how to make a 250-300bhp N/A car.
But they couldn't guarantee you anything.

And yes, more than 2kg off the OEM pulley is a massive difference and it makes a massive difference to throttle response and how the car revs.

  25. Just got my hands on one of these from Raptor, looks to be a lovely bit of kit!

  26. Hello,

Do you still make lightweight crank pulleys for Clio 3 RS?

  27. Yes we still do, even lighter than before.

    Send me a message m8.
