MK3 wheel and pedal vibration

  1. So this issue is really annoying me.

Setting off in 1st gear I get a wobble through the steering wheel and pedals and then in 2nd gear up to 3krpm. After 3krpm it goes, smooth as silk. No knocks or noises at all, just this odd shake/vibration through 1st and 2nd.

It can feel worse when slowing down in 2nd (going over a speed bump for example) and then accelerating in 2nd from low revs.

I've taken it to a garage and they can't see anything obvious.

FYI; it's had b14 coilovers, track rod ends and gearbox mount bolt.

Any helps advice would be great.

    Cheers

  2. I think mine is doing the same, have you been able to sort it out or have you found the issue?

  3. How lowered is it? Tried raising it up a bit? Check the driveshafts.

  4. Did you ever get the vibration sorted? Mines doing the same. Under heavy acceleration you can feel it as well.

  5. Hey mate,

Mine has been sorted, it turned out to be the gearbox mount bolt, it snapped /shredded.

  6. Damn it, I've just replaced that this morning and I've still got the vibration. It's doing my head in. Every since I fitted the KWs it's starting doing it. Might try raising it slightly
