Megane r26 Race car

  1. Haven’t posted on this forum before, but I have a megane r26 race car in the process of being built! (Got built once by someone else BADLY)

    I post here and there on meganesport.net on Facebook, and few of you will know the car from there.

    I’ve had the car about 4 Year’s now, coming 5 this may. Completely standard when I first got it! Didn’t take long for me to change that thou! About 2/3 months of it being standard, I went on to KTEC’s website and ordered the followi;

    Bc coilovers
    Half cage
    3inch decat and cat back
    Ns2r’s
    630cc injectors
    Ds1.11 pads
    2500 rears
    Reyland 330 front disk and bells
    Braided lines
    And I had a set of speedline turinis to go on!

    Anyway, had the car like that for about 6 months, then I decided I wanted to get in to circuit racing! Chose to keep the megane and use this as the car I wanted to race!

    So I stripped it out and it got sent off for a full cage!

    After I got it back i decided to take it to at the time was a good friend of mine to build the car. Without going in to details or names, the car took over a year to build and the workmanship was awful.

    I got fed up with the car and lost complete motivation with it. Until I found some love back and dropped it my really good friend Mitch a proline-motorsport. And that’s where it is now, so I thought I’d do a build thread, as it’s currently a rolling shell.

    Brief spec;

    Fully forged
    Cams
    Valves etc
    AST suspension
    Gtx2871r
    Side mounted manifold
    434hp tuned by Chris @efi

    And lots lots more, just a brief idea so you have an idea. Obviously as the build goes back together I’ll document it with pictures and the spec in more detail!

    So the pictures I’m going to upload start from the first time it was built to the current state. 9. Nothing like the feeling of someone f**king up your car for you, especially when they are ' experts'.

  10. It will be once it’s done gavin. Shame I’ve had to do it twice thou!

  11. It’s the worst! Such a headache, having to do it twice, I just want to get out there an drive it! It was in such a state the first build, looked pretty on the eye, but when you done some digging it was atrocious! But, you live and learn, and the positive side of it the car is going to be even better!
