265 Coilovers vs. Springs

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by OiNK, Feb 23, 2016.

  1. Hi,

Is there any point looking at coilovers unless you are planning to do track time etc?

If the car is solely for road used would I be best just getting some lowering springs?

Or is there a better ride quality with coilovers?

  2. Anyone?

  3. H&R springs are perfect for road, I'd have kept mine on but tthey were too soft for track

  4. As above, don't waste your money, just get some H&R springs if it's not going to see a track.. Plenty people run the H&Rs on the road. Was my plan but things have changed haha.

  5. I had H&R springs on mine for about a year as I wasn't tracking it. Perfect for the road couldn't complain for the money

  6. How does the ride quality compare against the standard cup spring?

I don't want to bother if they are very harsh....thanks guys.

Can be a bit harsh over rough roads, Noticeably stiffer over the Cup setup.

  8. Appreciate the feedback, thank you.
