Bonnet struts

    Hopefully I'll get these fitted tomorrow afternoon.

  7. do these fit easy ...as in no drilling etc as my car is getting a full respray. ...if so I will take the last set please :grinning:

    You need to drill two holes.

    I'm going to fit mine next weekend. Could you confirm which side of the strut to put each washer @matt e?

    The large washers goes between the hinge and the strut and the small one goes on the inside of the hinge with the nut
     
  10. Side pic in case it helps with drilling the hole. When you drill the hole in the bonnet make sure you drill it so that the nut can fit behind. Template is pretty accurate.

    I used an extra washer between the spacer and wing, but you don't have to. You can just see the original bonnet stay bracket bent outwards towards the side of the car. I just put a large adjustable spanner on the bracket and levered it outwards until it clears the gas strut body.

    The guide says the smaller washer is used with the longer bolt and spacer so that's not right then.
