  1. 2011 Renault Megane RS250 Cup – Metallic Black

    Mileage: 37600

    Full Service History

    More Recent Works:

March 2017 – Timing Belt Kit, Auxiliary Belt Kit, Water Pump, Coolant / Antifreeze, Oil Filter / Sump washer, Synthetic Engine Oil (10w 50 Morris), Synthetic Gearbox Oil (75w 90 Morris Lodexol), ‘uprated’ Spark Plug Set (NGK BKR8EIX), Pollen (Cabin) Filter and Brake Fluid (Motul RBF600). Full Scorpion Turbo-back exhaust system with Sports-Cat and centre-silencer (therefore sounds standard‘ish but perhaps a tad louder). Custom ECU map & dyno session resulting in 314bhp and 340 ft/lb (graph can be provided). Goodridge Braided Brake Lines. All brake lines under the car to the rear replaced due to seized fixtures when fitting the rear braided lines. Wagner Intercooler and K&N Panel Filter.

May 2017 - New Renault clutch, slave cylinder and dual mass flywheel. New Renault gear-box mount & support, Vibratechnics lower engine mount, new rear lights, driver’s door check-strap, engine under-tray, new Renault Accessories “RS” mats and gear-knob, PIAA head-light bulbs, new Cup badges and exhaust surround.

December 2017 – BC Racing Coilovers With Adjustable Top Mounts installed, corner weighted and new geometry all by CGR Automotive.

April 2018 – New front wheel bearings, Driveshaft, Driveshaft Spacers, Setrab Slim Line Oil Cooler and Oil Cooler Sandwich Plate installed. Oil and filters service also. New Renault grooved front discs and Dixcel pads fitted.

August 2018 – New steering rack, new track rods, new track rod ends and new swivel joints.

Recently fitted new Pioneer separate (tweeter & door) front and 2-way rear speakers along with a Pioneer DAB head-unit and DAB/FM roof Ariel. New Michelin PS4S Tyres all round.

The car has had absolutely no expense spared, approximately £8000 spent within the last two years with receipts to prove. The car is very capable and immaculate condition inside and out. Please note there is very minor rash/kerb marks on the front right wheel.

I will happily take perspective buyers out for a test drive, if you would like to drive the car, proof of insurance is required.

  2. Why did the drive shafts need changing? Did the gearbox mount go? Also why did the steering rack need changing at user 40k?
    Thanks

  3. When lowering the car the driveshafts are effectively pulled out which I wasn't aware of, therefore the driveshaft 'ate itself'. A common fix is the driveshaft spacer which the car now has but an expensive lesson having to have a new driveshaft.

Gearbox mount and support bracket was simply replaced when other mounts like the engine mounts were replaced, precautionary as oppose to required.

The steering had become heavier and I was getting vibration in the steering wheel, the garage replaced the steering rack, swivel joints, track rods and track rod ends and all was perfect again.
