  1. Been quoted £685 to change a head gasket on my 225.
Does that sound about right ?. And what should i expect with that. New cam belt and water pump etc ? should i be asking them to check anything else while its striped down. ?

  2. Is it definitely head gasket? What’s the issue? I’ve been told head gaskets on F4r’s are uncommon issues.

Seems a little pricey to me, do you know what parts are included? If that is including a new cam belt kit and water pump id say its fair, if not they are advisable to be changed at the same time, as could save you a big bill later!

  4. loss of water in the header tank and milky oil on the dip stick. the level has risen. car runs fine though apart from a lumpy start from cold for a few seconds.

  5. Is the engine warning up quickly? I bet it’s not.
Mine was diagnosed as a thermostat housing seal and replaced the thermostat at the same time.
Sorted the issue and had exactly the same issues as you mentioned.
Warms up in no time now.

  6. unfortunately warms up rather quickly. but keeps the temp and hasn't gone above its normal mark.
