250 Torque Settings Please!

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Mark_RS, Jul 20, 2018.

  1. Swapping front and rear discs at the weekend with any luck. Can someone confirm for me the torque settings for the bolts on the front and rear calipers and the rear hub nut and anything that has a torque value??

  2. Rear hubs nuts should be replaced as they are ‘one use’ items. Torque them up to 220nm and you’ll need a 36mm socket. Not sure in the caliper torque setting, but I just do them up tight as I can.

  3. Thanks Paul, I have the socket and the new nuts. Without looking, are there additional bolts holding the rear discs on I need to torque up?

Anyone advise on torque for the calipers?

  4. Only the caliper brackets

  7. Hey mate, any chance you could message me the torque setting also? I’ll be up for disc change soon so it would help me a tonne! [emoji4].

    Cheers

  8. Had a half hearted go today at the front brakes. Didn't have a 13mm allen socket, so fail straight away. Tried to remove the stud conversion (used red threadlock), snapped the head clean off my 5mm allen socket and then to finish things off, ground out the head of one of the disc retaining bolts. Off to the garage it goes, fucking thing.

  11. I'm wondering if I should tackle the rears and let the garage loose on the fronts?
