Squeak under 10mph

  1. As the title says, I get a squeak at around 10mph. No input on the brakes, steering, clutch. Usually happens in 1st gear crawl on smooth(ish) roads. What could it be?

  2. Anything, how we meant to help, when you have not said where its coming from, noises travel, and we can't hear it...

  3. I actually can't tell. It's from outside because it's more pronounced when the driver side window's down. I'll try and stick a gopro outside and see where it's coming from.

Does it do it with lock or juat driving straight?

  5. It's while driving straight, no lock. GoPro caught it on a drive out so I'll upload the video and post a link once it's done.

Any noises when moving wheel side to side? Drive normal or any looseness ?

  7. Drives perfectly fine, and doesn't make any noises when I move the wheel side to side. Even if it was the pads making noises, they've got plenty of meat on them. I'll clean them at some point to eliminate causes, but i would've thought just braking really hard would do that.

The video will be available on this link when it's uploaded

  8. I would say brake pads, standards are know to squeek even when not braking.

Yeah, What Ryan said. Sounds like the usual brake noises. They are terrible for it even with the OEM spec compound, May find its just built up grime and dust allowing the pad to stick slightly in the calliper

  10. Ive never gone back to oem pads, used brembo oem spec, and trw oem spec pads, there no performance pad, but they do me for my driving, and theyve never squeeked once.

  12. deffo brake pad, can show this by touching pedal v gently should instantly stop

  13. You were right, brake pads it was. Took the pads out and gave them and the discs a clean. Now nothing. It's all shiny.

What kind of driving is yours? These are brembo OEM spec.

  14. Just fast road driving at the most. You mean standard from factory pads?

  15. Yes. My driving is on the road and 3-4 track days a year

  16. Could be your sliders? If they're slightly rusted they wont return into the caliper.

  17. If standard pads, there made by ferodo, i bought brembos on make front and back, proper cheaper then renault, no squeeking.

  18. Interesting... Well once they do wear out, i have a set of brembo pads lying around
