  2. Out came the standard engine and box after a major gearbox failure at Snetterton which also broke the back of the engine block.
An R 26 in LY was bought as the LSD was wanted.

  10. Hi Chris. I had a R26, 288/310, harness/wrapped, etc., very nice car, but I never really jelled with it. I now have a Clio 320/340. The Clio I feel is better built, i.e.,door drains, door seals on chassis, not doors. Rear boot lid one piece, not split, number plate lights, vertical, not horizontal, and many other things, so for me, its the Clio, but that just my opinion.

  11. I do favour clio and have had both 172 Cup and 182 Cup, and both from new. Long gone now but fancy a 197/200 and the turbo engine is calling me. Did you do conversion or buy it done?

  12. I bought it already done, but I have done a lot of work also.

  13. I dont mind doing the work but would prefer a tried and tested conversion. Ill have to keep my eyes open for the right car.
