175 DCI 175 Cup - Rear Antiroll Bar

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Jakg, Jan 19, 2017.

  1. Hadn't seen this mentioned before, so I thought I'd post.

The 175 cup has a rear antiroll bar as standard - afaik only the R26 has this. The rest of the range (inc 175 non cup) don't have one.

I had actually arranged to buy an R26 rear beam just for the antiroll bar so it's handy I realised!

I saw it on the Catcar EPC website and had a look underneath and there it was, tucked away under the plastic.

  2. Was about to signup to PH to let you know that in your thread on there! Then I thought of searching for you on here and low and behold you've figured it out!

I've done the same as you with true 175 but haven't had half the issues you've had. My car is in 146k and like you its my fault and does 100 miles a day on motorway and fast A road.

Is the steering difference from cup and non cup a definite thing? Do you know if these can be remapped to give the cup steering?

To be fair, I am being a bit anal about it - I'm replacing perfectly serviceable parts just because I can. Although I have taken it a bit far!
I have no idea unfortunately. I'm sure I saw someone say you could change it using Clip? I doubt there's any hardware differences.

  4. Didn't know if it was plug and play if you had the module or if you could remap it? Or if when changing the module it needs programming to the car (probably).

Not that these modules will be easy to come by anyway.

  5. I doubt there's any physical differences, probably just a software tweak. I did look on Clip but couldn't find anything.
