  1. 2004 Renault Megane 225 Lux 56695 Miles

I’ve owned the car since June last year, in that time I’ve done 4000 miles, a lot of which was a trip to the ring in July/August. It was a real pleasure to drive, and ate up the miles. It’s very comfortable and sounds great as well as being ridiculously fast. The Quaife diff feels better than the R26 variant too so don’t be put off by 225 when very few R26 can touch this.

Has the usual full leather, auto lights, wipers, climate etc. that the Lux comes with as standard. Comes with 2 keys and all the history file.

Due to a change in circumstances so both this and my Clio 220 Trophy are up for sale.

The last service was 2 months ago with Valvoline 5w50 fully synthetic and the aircon regassed which blows lovely and cold, it was a God send driving across Europe! Number plate will be removed prior to sale and replaced with SH04 UVU.

Previously the car was owned by Mark Black who did most of the work to the car to get it to 309bhp and I believe he never did more than a couple of thousand miles after it after fitting all the parts below. The work includes: -

Mapped by Paul at RS Tuning
    Turbo Dynamics TD04-19T hybrid
    Forge actuator
    Forge recirc valve
    Forge alloy intercooler
    KTec solid boost pipes
    Decat
    Blueflame exhaust
    Billet SMF and R26.R clutch
    Quaife LSD
    Ph2 rear lights
    R26.R spoiler
    Part flocked dash
    Steering wheel retrim
    Scangauge II

In my ownership I’ve done the following: -

Service when I got it and after 12 months both with Valvoline 5w50 VR1
V6 airbox with new K&N filter
New Varley racing battery and cage
    New Denso Iridium IK22 plugs
    New Bougicord ignition coils
    New boost solenoid (genuine Renault)
New driveshafts, both sides (genuine Renault)
    New gearbox oil (genuine Renault)
New rear discs and bearings (genuine Renault)
New tie rods and rod ends (genuine Renault)
    New ball joints
New Track Focus steering rack bush
    New Powerflex bushes (Purple ones)
New front bearings (inc. swivel bearings)
    New front Brembo callipers
    New Valeo squib with stalks
    New brake fluid (ATE Blue)
    New Valeo 12v socket
    New aircon switch
Rear leather seats to replace the cage it had
    New Carbon bullets
    New Wind deflectors
    Bonnet struts
    Mr Pink pins
Full geometry setup on a Hawker machine including camber, caster and toe

More expensive stuff I’ve done to it: -

New AST sportline II with optional DDP pistons and AST top mounts £2300 – they’re fitted with coilover protectors too so they are great condition.
New OZ Alleggerita HLT 17x8 ET55 alloys £1500 – one of the lightest wheels you can buy (under 7kg each), currently fitted with the latest brand new 235/45/17 Avon ZV7 tyres which perform brilliantly.
    New Vibratechnics engine mounts £400
New Godspeed 330mm bells and rotors with Ferodo DS1.11 pads £700
OMP recliners which allow both 6 point harnesses and standard seat belts on Ktec subframes £700 – they save a lot of weight over the Recaros, more security on track and still retain access to the rear seats.
Standard seatbelts and Sabelt 6 point harnesses - £300
Kenwood DDX4016DAB radio, latest 2016 model that plays DVDs, has DAB and accepts add-on satnav modules. Accepts two phones connected at the same time on Bluetooth. £300

I’ve spent a flipping fortune on it but when you drive it, it all feels worthwhile. I always have my cars perfect mechanically and you won’t find a better one for the money with as much kit as this and where all the parts are new or nearly new; the feel is like driving a new car. I’ll also throw in the Nankang NS-2 tyres I used for track.

    £7500 ono

  4. Forgot to mention the Belts aren't due for another 2 years. They were done in 2013.

Could do with shifting this fairly soon so I'm open to to sensible offers.

  5. Right, I'm going to let the vultures at it an break it for parts as I need it gone. I'll be putting a list together soon.

Shame really, definitely the best value and most sorted Megane for sale at the moment.
