  1. Only done one side, took 2 days...still need to fit the rubber and tweak things. Just stuck some lexan in for now.

  2. Weight difference much between metal and the above ??

  3. Vast. Stock doors with everything removed are 25.5kg each. These are 4.5kg each.

  4. Love the bonnet

  5. Could do with a cut and polish soon!

  6. Be interested to see the total car weight with these on. How is the fit?

  7. Before the cage goes in, with all interior plastics in place (keeping them) and the heater/aircon (keeping that too). It'll be around 1190kg. If I really went to town on the car, removing everything not needed..it'd be around 1180 with the full cage fitted.

  8. Absolutely amazing... Where did you get the doors/bonnet and rear bootlid? What's the price for all fibreglass pieces + lexan windows? I also wonder about your hood vents, does the bonnet come like that? Why is there 1 vent on the right side? It can't be for the intake as it's on the other side?

In terms of weight savings, you said it's 21kg per door lighter (door for door), what's the total savings per door if you compare your fibreglass door and carbon panel with a full oem door with the panel, speakers, glass, etc?

    Thanks

  9. Doors and boot came from CCF. Boot lid was £220 plus shipping, doors were £380 the pair plus shipping but they're putting the price up. Bonnet came from Gontier Racing in France, £2k. Lexan came from plastics4performance and was about £700. Vents are from RK Design in Japan, about £300. The side vents are outlets and work well (put your hand near them when the car is warm), the single vent directs to the turbo/downpipe.

I'd say frp door is 5kg, with 6kg added for blade, locks, mounting hinges, rubber and wiring, 1kg lexan and 800g door card. So sub 13kg total? Stock is 31kg, with the 6kg, 2kg glass, 3.8kg door card, 1.8kg window mech and speaker (ish). So just over 44kg. 31kg per side saving.

Some more pics now I've fitted the stock rubber as the bonding on lexan solution looks totally shite.

They look like they fit really well

  11. Fit is pretty good but they still aren't sat right and they're currently hard to shut from the inside due to light weight and flexing and they squeek on the rubber!!

I love the colour of them though, the whole car needs to be primer grey

  13. I'm with you there, I think Lunar Grey gloss and gloss black would look excellent.
