Stick on front plates

  1. As title suggests. Im thinking of fitting a stick on plate to side of front bumper so i can cut holes where original plate sites when new cooler gets fitted. Is this illegal and has any you guys done this on a mk3. Seen it done on a r26 but never mk3. Any pics would be great.
    Cheers jambo

  2. Someone posted a pic of there mk3 with a square plate, fitted to the right hand side of the bumper, and it looked ****, but all legal as I know. Are you having overheating problems if you need to cut air holes.....?

  3. I've cut three large holes behind my front plate, then attached the numberplate with velcro. On the road the plate stays on the car, then on track I can remove it and get some extra air to the rad/intercooler. Can't imagine you're having cooling issues on the road, so maybe this solution would work for you too?

Pyper and Big Uno like this.
  4. I
it wouldn't be a square one, just normal rectangular one. No overheating issues just think it looks cool as fuk lol. But like i said that was a mk2

  5. Same as me, plate comes off for trackdays.

Looks shit, do what esslll suggests if you really want to do it. Not really needed mind you AMD you need to put holes in the crash bar if you actually want it to do anything...

That looks even worse IMO lol

  8. Both ways look awful and completely not needed, but as they say "each to their own with modifying"
