Megane 250/265/275 FRP Boot Lids

  1. Afternoon all,

Last year I was trying to get a few people interested in some FRP parts. It didn't really pick up as quick as I wanted so I paid for 3 boot lids (and a lid itself for the mould) to get them made. They're finally ready today and weigh the grand total of 3.5kg each. They're stock fitment for hinges BUT to save weight are designed for aerocatch only. You could try and fit stock locking parts though.

I have 2 going spare and the nice chaps who made them have given me exclusivity until I sell the spares. Price is £270 with £29.95 shipping. Better pics coming.

  11. Wrong audience here, but how is the sound/noise level in comparison to the steel OEM one?

  12. Right audience  I'll be honest and say that there are no leaks, the seal works as oem and there isn't a noticeable increase in either creaking/movement or road/exhaust noise. Saying that though, my car has been running the catches on the stock boot lid, has no sound deadening and the rear floor all stripped with drain holes in the spare wheel well!
