They are team dynamics, basically 1.2s without the embossed writing in the lip. they clear but need to run different bolts for the calipers as the originals have quite a large head and only have around 1mm clearance if that on mine.

I'd stick to 18s tbh, I only went for the 17s as they came up cheap in the right size but if they hadn't I would of got some 18x9s as there's a bigger choice for track rubber

  3. Finally got an hour to myself (rare with 4 sprogs!) to fit my new Omp wheel.

I really like small wheels so went with an Omp Trecento suede that I bought from a cliosport.net member for £50. Gave it a good clean and brush and pleased with how well it came up.

Fitted to a Simoni boss kit with a cruise control bracket and a horn fitted using a Richbrook stop/start button I had laying about. Not paying £20 for an omp push button horn...

Yet to wire I the cc buttons but as rarely use cc it can wait until I've got enough heat shrink.

Not driven with it yet but knowing how good the 172 cup I had was with it I know it'll be fine.

Gave the old tangerine a wash and hoover too after a pretty minging week weather wise.

  4. On the R26 my front height was running higher than the rear so I decided to make some adjustments tonight, removed the rear spring assembly and the rear damper assembly, cleaned them both up and then increased the ride hight by approx 10mm and adjusted the damper to sit more correctly as I think it had been over extended before. Car sits around 650 front now and 650 rear so is better than before where it was 10mm lower at the rear, however our drive is block paved and I need to find a more even level surface to measure again. On the document shared before...

    https://turborenault.co.uk/mk2-mega...-settings-and-ride-height-information.t45301/

it shows a ride height of 650 for the front and 660 for the rear as a good setup, however as my car is mainly for track so would it make sense to run slightly lower than this? obviously no speed bumps to worry about and I can adjust the trailer so it will go on even if the car is lowered slightly. Running BC BR coilovers, any feedback on your setups would be great.

I'd stick to that height, Andy done a lot of track work in his and ran a few variations in setup, low isn't always better as well. As long as your running some rear take your good though, IIRC mine is 15mm or so higher on the rear to dial out some understeer, granted that's a MK3 but the principal remains

That's just for the trip to the garage to get it all done tomorrow haha! My actual trip should fit in the back, granted there's a fair bit more stuff than it currently has but it won't be 6 tyres and 4 loose wheels then[emoji23]

  13. Getting some track tyres fitted to tibor track wheels fitted to my car! My first track driving in a few weeks awaits. Doing a driver training day up at Knockhill before I go out on a "proper" track day.

  14. Oooooooooooooooooooor not. The tyre place neglected to tell me that the tyre balancer was broken. I also need TPMS sensors for the second set of wheels. Oh well.

  15. Did you carry out the work yourself and if so how big a job is this to do at home?

  16. Yeah did it myself at home lots of people saying it’s a bad job but in reality it’s not just abit fiddly to get original cat out but that’s it .

  17. So in prep for silverstone tomorrow..
New ad08rs for rear fitted and new r888rs for the front. New Ferodo 2500 pads for the rear. Adjusted the rear coilovers up a bit more to get closer to 660 on the rear. Then washed it and the towcar. They look great in the dark but will probably look shite in the sun haha. All fuelled up and spare jerryz filled too. I think I got everything possible out of the rear pads haha 20171001_161355.jpg 20171001_205034.jpg 20171001_205052.jpg 20171001_205107.jpg 20171001_205059.jpg

  23. Checked my scuttle drains again today. Hoovered out some leaves but the bits of mesh cut from a shower exfoliating thing that I stuffed in the top of the drain holes last time seem to have prevented any debris going down the drain tubes, so they weren't blocked.

  25. That looks like a 4 inch gap on your archs, have all your track days took a pounding on your coilovers

  26. Had mid box delete this afternoon. Seems to have made the car actually sound like a hot hatch. Pleased so far.

  27. Boy Racer...

how about decatted and straight piped....will switch my pipes around and see what that sounds like next week....the mrs already calls me the oldest boy racer in the village haha

  28. The mid box is fairly subtle I think. It's made it sound more like a current hot hatch now, rather than a vacuum cleaner lol.

I don't think I'd want to go any louder. The neighbours wouldn't approve lol

  29. must admit i love the cracking popping and general commotion it makes with minimal boxes....a lot of fun...the kids think it is brill. I get lots of admiring looks from "youths in hoodies" haha

Ready for some off roading LOL.

Not sure, Something has definitely failed in them and pissed its oil out, Most likely just a seal really but it will be nice to get them fully serviced ready for next year. In two minds whether or not to get them to do some internal upgrades at the same time

  31. Renault fitted a new mirror after a road sweeper removed part of it a couple of weeks ago

  32. Are you wanting to go down the double digresive route

Possibly going to have the DDP fitted and maybe upgrade them to 5200 spec as well while they are there as thats the long term plan with them anyway

  34. Sounds good bud

Thats the benefit of the 1 way AST's, They are easily upgradable to 2 or 3 way spec. To convert all of them to 2 way is only £1200 as well so fairly sensible. Plus it still means I'm well under what a new set would cost at what i originally paid.

  38. Fitted new front disks and pads. Had to drill the disc retaining screws out as they wouldn't budge. Gave up on the rears as I couldn't get the pistons to wind back in. Was going to crack the bleed nipple but I thought it might shear if I used any more force. Was going to try off the car but brake pipe union started to twist the actual brake pipe as I turned it, so gave up. Now booked in with Ren7Oaks for rear brakes with new rear calipers, front inner tie rods, new front abs sensor brackets, full service and cambelt/water pump etc. Think it's going to be an expensive month. Not told the wife about the two new tyres that are coming this week to.:grimacing:

  39. Well kind of done something for my car.....brand new A4 trailer....really really chuffed with it 20171207_135359.jpg 20171207_104430.jpg
