  1. Hi all and thanks for letting me join, I’ve bought a 2014 265 for a bit and just getting used to the car as such, question is on my display where it tells me MPG speed etc it also come up with funny writing or symbols can anyone tell me what or why they are there, they are not french
    Thanks

  2. do you have a picture of the funny writings or symbols?

  3.

    Attached Files:

  4. Looks like japanese or something.

    Was your car imported?

  5. Not that I am aware of the date of registration was when new in 14 but this is not the only Ras I have seen with these symbols I seen it on another one when I was looking for a RA

  6. Not sure what the problem is, but I am gobsmacked that you have never seen Japanese type writing before...

  7. I would take it to renault, they may be able to plug it and set the language back to English

  8. I don’t understand what your point is is, there is no problem I am asking what or why this is there not the fact of never seening any before or not?

  9. Are I take it this is not normal then

  10. Where you from mate? Looks like its written in some form of east asian writting?

  11. I
I bough the car Monday said one previous owner and got it from Evans Halshaw Wolverhampton

  12. I would get it into renault, looks like the language as recent or something.

  13. Scrap that, theres a language setting in that clocks menu.

  14. Had something similar on my 275 Cup-S, the rear seat belt message on startup would display in an Arabic type face instead of English.

Never too much of a big deal, as rear seatbelt message disappears after a few seconds anyway, but had it sorted under warranty without a problem.

As above, take into to the dealer and they should be able to sort it.

  15. From the mileage/mileage done screen, press the top stalk button twice, then hold both together, this should get you into the setting menu. Go down the menu until tick boxes turn into a circle, the first one should be the chineese writting=then a number, go down again, then press both stalk buttons again, this should bring up the language menu with tick boxes, press up or down until you see english, then press and hold both stalk buttons again, this should change it to english.

    Hope this helps.

  16. Well I took it to Renault and they said you’ll have to book it in, which is a joke as I’ve just followed your guide and hey presto it worked thank you very much

  17. No worries mate
