  1. Hey guys,
So on the 3rd of this month I purchased this beauty.

Full service history,84k miles only,2 keys, good paint work, and an absolute joy to drive.

Up until a month of two ago i had a black Clio 182 turbo with 150,000 miles on it but yet still ran a healthy 230/230 ftlbs.

  3. She is indeed.so clean.
I am going to remove the decals from roof (previous owner removed the bumper ones)so it looks better and matching and then it needs a bloody good Detailing session. Going to give the seats a little scrub up (not that they need it) just to get it all perfect inside and out.

Then maybe some rear window tints, and back box removal (sounds like a sewing machine currently with no noise at all) and then hopefully some track days.

  4. First up i have a beautiful k-tec 3" system which i will fit tommorow.

    pmCCU4nLp.png

  5. Exhaust system is now fitted.wasnt the nicest job ever and took 3 hours to do it but well worth it. Sounds really well and it really un-chokes the back pressure as its a fully straight through exhaust.

i started off with a wash, then clay bar, then wash, then orbital polishing with auto glym resin polish, then finished of with fusso wax. took 3 hours to complete but it come up real nice and more importantly its paintwork is protected properly.

    pme1PqCtj.jpg

Also i had a new offside drop link fitted as the old one was a little bit knackered.

  15. So the other day i replaced the spark plugs as i found they where slightly browning round the porcelain.

    0NgXju.jpg

Whilst i was there i thought it best to renew the the coil packs as i had no idea of the age of them whatsoever.

    I ordered genuine beru coilpacks

    GaYcpg.jpg

Next up will be a nice oil and filter change despite it being earlyier than needed.

Also i have permanently removed the top engine cover as apparently it doesnt help with how hot coil packs get and i dont want issues .

  16. Similar to the one I have just bought but looks like you know how to look after yours!

  17. At the weekdend i was looking through ebay and saw these for sale and apparently these arent a bad idea to have on the car as not only a precaution but also to help the sealing of boost pressures. They were circa £26 for the pair.

    8tE38i.png

So i went to a local model shop and bought a small piece of alloy for £2.50 and made my own .took 25 mins to make.

    EXMhmJ.jpg

    MBbcOt.jpg

They really do hold the parts down well .well worth i think

  18. Got the forge ones on mine. I put the cover back on recently. Maybe I'll take it back off...

  20. Have been trying to think about what and where to mount this 52mm boost gauge and i came to the decision to mount it in the top piece where clock and rsdio display went. Took a good few hours to make but heres the finished article.

    1WK3vT.jpg

Have already done the wiring whilst waiting for sealant to dry from round the edges of the front of the plastic piece.

Lastly i need to run a vac/boost feed tommorow to the gauge.

Maybe look into having it flocked along with the centre console :sunglasses:

  23. Today i ran the vac hose to the racetech boost gauge. Was a slight pain as i had already taken up any extra space in the main giant grommet with the battery positive so goin through there was out of the question.Instead i carefully drilled out a 12mm hole and baby grommeted that and a normal vac hose fits in there super snuggly which worked out perfect.i then t-pieced the feed from the recirc valve .

  24. There's normally a second hole to the top right of the main hole. In the 1 o'clock position as you look at it.

It looks like you have it unless it's been glued or something.

  25. Today i fitted my hard mount for my phone to record video whilst driving. Its secured with to small self tapping screws into the roof brace at the front. Its easily removable and the sun visor can go back into place if needed. Did try a suction cup setup but it didnt give the correct mount position to video from.

  26. So i have finally got round to having the megane mapped by Andy at engine dynamics.

First up it was dyno run as is with air filter, full 3" exhaust system and otherwise totally stock and she made 248 bhp.He commented on how good that is and he was very happy. However he did say before the remapping that injectors will be needed as they max out around 250 bhp mark and mine at the 248 bhp where at 87% duty lol.

So he fitted the uprated 630cc injectors as we had discussed about and did some tinkering about with the map and this is the result............

    8j48Ns.png

Needless to say its made a huge difference to how the car drives.it really is a torque monster.

  27. Thought standard injectors maxed out at 270ish bhp?! Mine were running a dyno certified 270.5bhp before they were changed, and only due to having a bigger turbo fitted!

  28. Well he does it to keep things safe and injectors well within a normal working threshhold afaik. Running injectors at 90% + duty is probably quite hard on them and for them to fail or get worn quick isnt something he or i want to chance. He knows his stuff so i go with him on what he says. :-)

  29. Well said sir! Thinking about it, the previous work on mine was done at Ktec, and to be honest I was a bit dubious as the car seemed to be struggling a bit during hard acceleration. Guessing the injectors were running close to their limits.

  30. Yesterday my braided brake lines arrived along with some new typ200 brake fluid.
I am changing the lines as they are 9 years old and little perished and chances are fluid is older than 2 years old.

    JrdN4l.jpg

    JpXnr9.jpg

Got the lines all bolted up and then for the bleeding and fluid renewal..... the light yellow fluid went in and this colour came out .......

    oTJFoY.png

Brakes feel massively better now and it was so worth doing. Pedal feels solid when under hard load and travel is minimal compared to how it was.

  31. Were your old lines easy enough to remove, any issues? I keep meaning to do mine, but have heard horror stories about them being a nightmare to get off! Your new ones look good!

  33. Its so worth doing would recommend it hugely.

They all come of easy and there was no issues fitting them at all.

The one thing i will say is just go easy on the nipples as they (on any car ) are delicate to a degree as they are mostly hollow and can be pretty stiff to undo and corrode/become a little softer.

The ones i got were by place called wez moto and where around £70 and fluid was £21.

  34. Thanks for the info, think I'll tackle mine within the next few days then, now that you've said you had no trouble!

  35. Today my usb charge socket with intergrated volt meter arrived finally.Only been waiting for it for 2 weeks lol ,its placed in the top left next to boost gauge so i can plug phone in when its in the hard mount videoing above.
    P9bohr.png

Also i have fitted a brand new forge recirc valve that i got from engine dynamics. The old stock recirc was knackered and not holding boost to great.
